hello im new to this and want to build my own theme , i have downloaded evrything that was reqired but i cant get the the icons to stay when i choose them, what am i doing wrong. please help.. thanks

You're using the Theme Builder from lili-chan. I can tell because that's the problem it has right now. If you knew how to edit the XML file, I'd say just create the Icons in Photoshop, edit your XML file to point to them, then when you're done, load the XML file in the Theme Builder.
Even though they won't show up, if you compile it, they'll be there.
On the other hand, you can wait a few days because he's hard at work on the new version that fixes its problems.
